If you are looking for some simple Easter art & craft ideas for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, these finger and hand print art ideas are really quick and easy to do. They can also be used to make personalised Easter cards.
You will need:
Handprint Chicks
Dip hands into yellow paint. Press hand once onto paper or card, with two fingers pointing downwards for the chick’s body, and twice with fingers pointing outwards for the wings. After the paint has dried glue on wiggly eyes and a folded diamond of orange card for the beak. Finish by drawing on feet with an orange colouring pen.
Easter Chicks
Cut shapes from coloured paper for children to glue to a larger piece of coloured paper. Cover hands in yellow paint and press onto paper to make the shape of wings. Finish by glueing on a pair of wiggly eyes.
Fingerprint Easter Egg
Draw Easter egg shapes for children to decorate with fingerprints using different coloured paints. The egg shapes can be cut out afterwards and glued onto coloured card to create a lovely homemade Easter card.
Hand and Finger Print Rabbits
Cover two fingers and the palm of hand in white paint and press onto coloured paper or card to create a rabbit shape. The face of the rabbit can be made by painting on a circle shape with a paint brush. A pink colouring pen or pink paint can then be used to add pink noses and ears. Finish by adding wiggly eyes, with mouths and whiskers being drawn on with a black colouring pen.
Fingerprint Chicks
Dip fingers in yellow paint and press two finger prints onto a piece of paper, one on top of the other. Once the paint is dry add black spots for eyes and beaks and feet using colouring pens.
