Meet Tom, also known as Mr Brooker to his pupils. Over the next few months he’s going to be writing blogs on anything and everything to help you with your education journey.

Why, you ask? Well firstly, he’s knowledgeable and knows what he’s talking about when it comes to education. He studied English Literature at Oxford University and has been a teacher for 12 years now (4 of those years he spent teaching in Argentina!).

Throughout his teaching career he’s been a primary liaison, KS3 coordinator and he’s now the Head of Year 11. He currently teaches English across all ages at secondary level as well as literature and language at KS4 and KS5.

Mr Tom Brooker is married with a son, speaks fluent Spanish and he’s also a qualified Skydiver (how cool is that!).

So over the next few months, you’ll see lots of exciting and engaging educational blogs and videos about how we can continue to fight for what teachers believe in and how we can give young people the best education possible.

We hope they will help raise discussion, thoughts and ideas about a range of teaching issues within schools.

Stay tuned!
