Funding for Schools
The PE and Sports Premium for primary schools across England has been more than doubled, with an extra £170 million being allocated to schools from 1st May 2018.
The Healthy Pupils Capital Fund (HCPF) has released £100 million to improve children and young people’s physical and mental health, and wellbeing by enhancing access to facilities, changing rooms, playgrounds and sports facilities.

The government has pledged £1 million funding for the Walk to School project
Delivered by Living Streets its aim is to increase the number of children walking to school. This funding is available to all schools (state and independent), free schools and academies in England which are not currently part of the Walk to School Initiative.

Wales continues Climbing Higher
Through its Climbing Higher vision, the Welsh Government has laid down the fitness gauntlet by setting the target of seeing 90% of children taking part in regular and frequent activity by 2020.
